Make Windows 7 Perform Maintenance Tasks Automatically

Over time, files and folders on your local hard drive get cluttered, and require regular maintenance and cleanup to guarantee a smooth running system. A cluttered hard drive makes it harder to find and retrieve files and data, and thereby affects your hard drive performance, which of course leads to slower performing system. For this purpose, you can use the built-in cleanup tool provided in Windows 7, known as the ‘Disk Cleanup’ utility. To automate this tool to perform a cleanup of your hard drive on a regular basis, you will need to use the ‘task scheduler’.
